From municipality to region: a new chapter for the public mobility app.

A New Identity
The mobility application Aparcar, created by the Reus City Council, was transferred to the Provincial Council of Tarragona under the name mot in September 2024.
With the change of name and image, a new stage began with the aim of making this public mobility application available to all municipalities in the Camp de Tarragona, the Terres de l'Ebre, and El Baix Penedès that request it. In addition, work is being carried out to expand its current functionalities and improve the user experience, thereby consolidating it as a cross-cutting mobility tool throughout the region.
A Success Story Born in Reus
Created in 2016 by the Reus City Council, the Aparcar application initially provided service in this municipality and, over the years, expanded to other municipalities. The success of this technological tool promoted and developed by a local public administration led it to surpass municipal boundaries over time, making a more territorial and metropolitan vision necessary. A Mobility Solution
Currently, the Autonomous Body BASE-Revenue Management of the Provincial Council of Tarragona is responsible for managing the application.
